GOAL

As part of Asia-Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary's vision to bridge cultures for Christ, the school sent four mission teams led by students during last year's Christmas break. One of which is a sports mission team. Last December 20, 2013, a group of people (students, professors, children) from the seminary visited the Angono Football Club to minister to its football players.

The afternoon started with orientation and introductions. The kids showed enthusiasm as they looked at an intercultural, inter-racial group of people. (I guess, having people from other countries really creates excitement for Filipinos.) We had games and some football matches. The players were also divided into groups for short conversations (which centered on teaching about reaching our goals and telling them how God is very important for us to reach goals) and prayer time.

It was a very short time. Yet, I know that the Lord has touched both the lives of the Angono Football Club players and the members of the mission team. If it was not for the Lord, this trip could not have been possible.

To tell of the Club's story and how this mission trip made impact to them here's a video that you could watch.

Please pray for these players. Pray that they will truly come to know Jesus and that through playing the sports that they love - football - they will be able to bring glory to His Name. :)))
