Description

Medialight is an innovative Christian media program based in Thailand.  At MediaLight we believe that you learn by doing, not talking. From the first day of class you will be shooting on Canon DSLR's and collaborating with others on video projects.

MediaLight students live, eat, worship and work together for ten weeks.  Our program is intensive. We work ten to twelve hours a day, six days a week.  Each day begins with worship, followed by “the God session”, an hour in the Word focused on the teachings of Jesus and his Kingdom message.  The next hour is the “You Session,” an hour of personal life coaching that covers subjects from self-management to relationships, to team building and skills for leadership.  Then after the tea break, the focus shifts entirely to media training.  Critique addresses areas of weakness in execution and provides encouragement to keep going. In ten weeks you will master the skill set behind professional video production.

Four projects and two public exhibitions give every student the opportunity to redefine themselves as media creators.   Students leave with a higher sense of confidence and a firm grasp on the fundamentals of video production and visual storytelling.

The most important outcome we see is that our graduates usually leave us with a clear sense of their calling and the awareness that they are leaving Thailand filled and commissioned by the Holy Spirit to bring light to their nations.  Our students have done amazing work immediately upon graduating.

• Abhisek served as assistant director on a feature film in his native Nepal.

• Josiah was hired by a Bollywood producer on his plane ride home to India.
• Genaye founded a media outreach ministry in her homeland, Ethiopia.

As part of Asia-Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary's vision to bridge cultures for Christ, the school sent four mission teams led by students during last year's Christmas break. One of which is a sports mission team. Last December 20, 2013, a group of people (students, professors, children) from the seminary visited the Angono Football Club to minister to its football players. (I guess, having people from other countries really creates excitement for Filipinos.) We had games and some football matches. ANSWERED PRAYER

"I am a God of faith and I'm going to honor your faith." "I'm going to do it swiftly in my time." - This is part of the prophetic word I received this year. One month has passed since the Lord answered my prayer.  I'm writing here in (insert country here) as a proof that God is truly a God of faith.   Five years ago, I stood up in church, claiming God's heart for me to serve Him as a world missionary. I had a chance to be part of a short term mission trip three years ago. But my desire to serve Him globally has not quenched even after a few years of serving Him in my hometown. I knew I had to step out in faith and do something so I can fulfill His plans for my life. I attempted to work in Singapore to become a tentmaker last year but to no avail. QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Words are very powerful. If there is something that can gash a heart more than a sword, those would be the words from anyone whom we allow to hurt us. It hurts even more when the words come from our own mouth. Lately, I found myself asking questions that eventually keep me down. "Am I fat?" "Why am I alone again?" "Why do I look ugly?" "Why am I so foolish?" "When will I learn?" "Will I ever get _______(fill in the blank with something I want or need)? And then I would impulsively reply negative answers to my own questions. It went on and on until I finally realized that telling myself negative things about me isn't making me any wise. It makes me feel disappointed. It makes me feel down. It makes me feel hopeless. These questions are fatal. It will lead to nowhere but misery and despair. These are the questions everyone should avoid as long as the only answers we can give ourselves are the negative ones. B
