The Wonderful Gardener

While I was helping my father fix his garden, a revelation from the Lord was given to me.

When I first saw my father allowing vines to grow on the outside walls of our house, I was shocked and pissed because it's so ugly. In my thoughts, I wanted to ask my father why would he allow those plants to grow even if it makes our own house a laughing stock for neighbors because they might think we are not taking care of our property.

Months have passed until I was able to visit my father's house again. After almost six months, I noticed the changes of the vines on the walls of our house. It looked like a jungle background for a Facebook profile picture! My father asked me to help him trim down leaves and stems that are growing out of the way. Not thinking what it may look like, I did as my father commanded me. When I finished trimming all the uneven leaves, all I began to say was, "This is very good!" I loved how the vines evenly covered our walls. It seemed very cozy and nature-loving.

Then this is when the Lord told me, "Daughter, that is how I view each and everyone of my people." He revealed to me another persona of His Greatness, a wonderful Gardener.

The wonderful Gardener would allow leaves to grow wild and free because it is really meant to grow, but once the leaves and stems are out of the way, He will surely trim it. He will cut the unnecessary plants and grasses. He will plant new ones for His garden to be more beautiful. And then He will wait patiently until He'll be able to say, "this is very good."

The Lord is the Wonderful Gardener. And we are His garden. We, the plants, are growing wild and free. But when the Lord calls us, there is no more turning back. He will make you beautiful. And if that transformation needs a lot of cutting, trimming, and budding, He will do it for He is surely willing and able to change us for the better. Sometimes we don't understand why God has to cut our ties with things/people that had been part of our growth. There are also situations where we don't know how to respond because the Lord buds us into new things we are unaware of. Trimming a lot of bad habits and wrong mindsets can be a tedious work for Him too. But the Lord will never grow weary in making His garden a beautiful one.

As for His people, the garden, we should submit wholly to the will of our Gardener. Though we may look ugly in the process, but the Wonderful Gardener knows what He is doing. We only need to trust Him, trust that He's doing what is best for us.

If you will allow the Wonderful Gardener to cultivate and work in your life, you will definitely see that you are in Good Hands, because the Gardener will finish His work until He can finally say to Himself, "Well done, this is beautiful!"

"TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND LEAN NOT ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING; IN ALL YOUR WAYS ACKNOWLEDGE HIM, AND HE WILL MAKE YOUR PATHS STRAIGHT."
